Raymond, who has more than two decades of experience in the building industry, specializes in construction administration for highly complex core and shell projects. His role typically involves reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, troubleshooting, and monitoring progress in the field for residential, life sciences, and commercial commissions. Such a variety of tasks enhances his engagement in his day-to-day activities. He also feels a sense of accomplishment as the results of design and documentation lead to a groundbreaking and eventual topping-out.
Before joining SGA in 2013, Raymond served as a job captain at Bergmeyer Associates, a Boston-based design firm. During his four-year tenure there, he completed projects in a wide range of markets, including retail, corporate interiors, residential, and higher education. His responsibilities were equally varied, encompassing conceptual design, schematic design, and construction administration.
A registered architect, Raymond received a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering Technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston and a Master of Architecture from Boston Architectural College. Outside of the office, he spends time with his family, plays and writes music, works out at the gym, and occasionally joins film sets as a background actor.
