Who We Are

Ricardo Cesar Escobar

Project Designer

Ricardo, who specializes in lab planning and design, plays an important role in every project:  He typically serves as the main point of communication and coordination with team members and consultants. Much of this work takes place during the phase of construction documentation, but Ricardo is also involved in schematic design. He gets great satisfaction from handing a project to a client and seeing the culmination of everyone’s ideas and efforts.

Before joining SGA Ricardo served as a project designer at Boston-based 8TFive Studio, where he focused on high-end residential and commercial projects. Previously he worked as a drafter for RW Sullivan Engineering, also based in Boston, gaining experience on a wide range of project types, collaborating closely with the electrical team, and perfecting his skills in Revit.

Ricardo earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Boston Architectural College, where he served as the president of the Student Government Association. In this capacity he was selected to represent the United States at the Future We Want Model UN, a global initiative for young leaders. Ricardo also holds an online marketing certificate from Shaw Academy in Alicante, Spain, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports design and management from Polytechnic University of Milan in Italy. Born and raised in El Salvador, Ricardo enjoys traveling, especially when it involves attendance at large international events like the Olympics, the Eurovision Song Contest, and FIFA World Cup tournaments.
