Jim brings more than 30 years of experience to his role at SGA, where he oversees production and construction administration for sophisticated core and shell projects in urban areas. Most of these projects comprise buildings in the commercial and life sciences markets.
Before joining SGA in 2014, Jim served for several years as a project architect in the Boston office of Integrated Design Group. During his tenure there, he focused on data centers. Earlier in his career, he designed many facilities for K-12 schools as an associate at Flansburgh Architects, also in Boston.
Jim, who is a registered architect in Massachusetts, Virginia, Illinois, and Wisconsin, received a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. He has delivered presentations at Build Boston and at many public meetings attended by key project stakeholders. Thanks to his ability to foster consensus among these stakeholders, Jim has a strong track record of moving projects rapidly through approvals.
