Jennifer derives great satisfaction from making a difference in people’s lives through architecture. As a specialist in life sciences, she designs facilities that support breakthroughs in research and development. Her portfolio includes a wide range of project types, from ground-up buildings to multi-phase renovations.
At SGA, Jennifer oversees every stage of a commission from schematic design through construction administration, but she especially enjoys design development and construction documentation, when “the pieces fall into place and become real.” She directs teams, supervises the production of drawings and documents, and serves as the main point of contact for consultants and clients. An advocate of BIM, she makes sure that every project leverages technology to support the highest standards of performance, coordination, and quality.
Before joining SGA in September of 2020, Jennifer served as a project architect at SMRT. During her four-year tenure there, she focused on life sciences and healthcare. Previously, she worked at Design Group Facilities Solutions in Concord, NH, where she helped build the firm’s science and technology practice. Earlier in her career, she spent seven years at Cannon Design in Boston.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Roger Williams University. In her spare time, she explores the great outdoors with her husband and three young boys by camping, hiking, cycling, and skiing. She and her husband regularly participate in the Pan-Mass Challenge, a 200-mile bike ride that raises funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. The kids join in the training for this annual event.
