Nick, who specializes in life sciences, approaches every project with an eye toward integrating architecture and technology. He automates workflows and investigates design options through advanced modeling methods, while promoting the use and exploration of computational tools in the office. Since joining SGA in November 2020, he has applied these skills to several practice areas: architecture, BIM, and virtual design and construction (VDC).
Previously, Nick served as an architectural designer at Shepley Bulfinch in Boston, where he focused on healthcare. It is also where he developed a strong interest in sustainable design, which, in his view, goes hand-in-hand with technological advances.
Nick received a Bachelor of Architecture from Iowa State University. Outside of the office, he plays recreational soccer and volleyball. A native of Minnesota, he is unfazed by the Boston winters, but he also spends time indoors playing board and video games and enjoying the company of his “big goofy cat” named Bean.
