Laura’s goals are to create beautiful spaces that solve problems, improve functions, and instill comfort. To achieve these aims, she focuses on design elements like navigation and a balance of materials, whether for a life-sciences building, a corporate office, or another project type. Her favorite phases are schematic and design development, but the most rewarding moment for her comes at the end of a commission, when her clients tour their completed space for the first time.
Before joining SGA, Laura served as an interior design manager at Cutler Associates in Worcester. During the 12 years she spent there, she specialized in senior living, along with educational institutions and industrial facilities.
Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in interior design from Becker College in Worcester and a master’s degree in management for interior architecture from Mount Ida College in Newton. Outside of the office she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons. Her favorite hobbies include ice fishing, vacationing in Maine in the summertime, and bringing her kids on “outdoor adventures.”
