Named CEO in 2022, Adam first joined SGA as an intern in 2004 and returned to open the firm’s New York City office in 2015. In the intervening years he held the roles of partner and director of marketing and business development. Today, as one of three equal majority owners of SGA, he oversees the strategic direction and operations of the firm, and also serves as the partner-in-charge of the New York City office.
A born-and-bred member of SGA with a team-first approach, Adam’s primary role is to advocate for and support the firm’s outstanding leadership, along with the dedicated individuals who make up the firm’s design and operations departments. One of his overarching goals is to enable SGA’s professionals to embrace holistic responsibilities, encouraging the entire practice to operate effectively as a support-based organization. Adam believes that a shared sense of strengths and weaknesses promotes a culture that enables the individual to focus on what they enjoy and do best.
Adam and his colleagues are proud to be the recipients of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies Award for Architecture, Boston Real Estate Times’ Architecture and Design Firm of the Year Award, and Architizer’s A+ Firm Award for Best Large Firm.
Raised in Lynnfield, MA, Adam attended Syracuse University where he received a BFA in Communication Design. Today he resides in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, with his wife Sarah, daughter Greta, son Walter, and dog Pepper. In his spare time, Adam enjoys running and gardening.
